Never Summer Aura Snowboard: Who Might Ride It
As I tap out this Never Summer Aura review on my computer (for the sake of romanticism, envision a typewriter), it’s twenty before eight in the morning on a Sunday, and a mug of warm coffee rests between my forearms, my fingers typing away ahead of its steam. I have yet to get the fire going in the quietly Norwegian Jøtul at my back, and… it’s dumping snow outside. Which means it’s also dumping up in the mountains. Which means: I’ll be leaving you with this review, quite soon, to go float on and bop through and revel in the best stuff on earth (if Snapple isn’t made from snow, they’ve got their tagline all wrong).

Seeing as how the Never Summer Aura floats through powder, and I mean piles and piles of cold-white fluff, like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, I know without a doubt that it’s the board I’ll be ratcheting into for the day. And so, to get to the point, if you haven’t already come to it yourself. Who might fall head over heels like I did for the Never Summer Aura snowboard? Anyone with a heartbeat. No but really, this women’s specific freeride snowboard is the perfect choice for powder houndresses and big-line carvers. With a mid-to-firm flex and the innate ability to lock into a carve as if it were on rails, the Never Summer Aura is a serendipitous encounter from the very first turn you make on it. Go big mountain, go freeride the local terrain, go hike and slash. Take the Never Summer Aura, and just go (cue Lloyd Christmas’s finger shush-shmushing your Mary Swanson-ite lips).
On-Snow Feel
With fast turn initiation, an on-snow feel that’s almost locked in, and undeniable superiority in powder (no matter how many centimeters deep), the Never Summer Aura delivers an experience like no other. Taking this sweet board over uneven terrain at speed? The on-snow feel remains consistently stable and solid, while initiating turns feels almost effortless. As if the mind to body to board connection were more like one whole instant, as opposed to a chain reaction. With the Never Summer Aura, the on-snow experience is like: I think, therefore I am.
Why Steer Clear of this Board
Hm… Maybe if you don’t like having fun while snowboarding, you should take a pass on this board? I don’t know! While it’s great for jumping around in the powder room, I suppose it would not be ideal for park riding. I’m sure it could do rails and boxes and the like, but there are obviously boards that are far better suited for such endeavors. I mean, the Never Summer Aura is a big-time carver that drools over big mountain lines and top speeds. So of course, if these things don’t sound like you, then this board probably isn’t your bae.
Why Ride This Stick

In deep, soft, pillowy, blower powder, the Never Summer Aura sits on top like I've never experienced. This board is light and stays above the powder on those deep and dreamy Colorado snow days. And, as noted earlier, on soft groomers it makes turns as if it were on rails.
Final Notes: Never Summer Aura
I have never felt so comfortable on a new board right out of the gate. HOLY SHIT I FUCKING LOVE THIS BOARD! The Never Summer Aura is zippy and maneuverable and weightless. I honestly cannot believe how stable it is at speed on hard pack, and how it floats on light powder. I am so in love.
